Abstract

This research article aimed to perform an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) of expectations regarding educational management to reduce academic stress among upper secondary and vocational certificate students at Romklao Kanchanaburi School (under the Royal Initiative Project). This descriptive study collected data from a sample of 300 advisor teachers and upper secondary and vocational students at Romklao Kanchanaburi School (under the Royal Initiative Project). The research instrument was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.98. Data were collected through interviews and online questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using Exploratory Factor Analysis with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Varimax orthogonal rotation. Statistical data analysis was executed using the SPSS software package. Statistical significance was set at the .05 level.

The findings revealed that the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure of sampling adequacy was .903, indicating high inter-variable correlation and suitability for factor analysis. The analysis identified 4 main factors comprising 23 indicators of expectations regarding educational management to reduce academic stress, namely: 1) Environment, comprising 6 indicators; 2) Learning Management, comprising 6 indicators; 3) Learning Assessment, comprising 6 indicators; and 4) Learner Wellbeing Support, comprising 5 indicators
