Abstract

Currently, the integration of technological resources in the educational field has increased significantly, to the point that their absence or inappropriate use could influence school dropouts, especially in rural areas. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the use of technological resources and school dropout in Educational Institution No. 64122 Maldonadillo de Atalaya, located in the Ucayali region. The research was basic, with a descriptive correlational approach and a non-experimental design. We worked with a sample of 54 children, to whom two questionnaires were administered, whose data were analyzed using SPSS v27 software. The results indicated that 91% of the students present a low level in the use of technological resources, with greater difficulties in the management of audiovisual media (96%), as well as in the use of software and web tools, where at least the 80% also face difficulties. Regarding school dropouts, 40% of children have a medium level, with the academic aspect being the one with the highest incidence (56% at medium level), while the social aspect has less impact (74% at low level). Finally, no significant relationship was found between the use of technological resources and school dropout in general, although a low and direct relationship with the academic aspect of dropout was evident.
